These are truly incredible days we are living. In front of our very eyes old dictatorships and regimes of control and ego are crumbling. People are finding their voice and not afraid to speak their truth in a peaceful manner. They want to live in a world where they have basic human rights like everyone else on the planet to chose their lives. It is an amazing journey to watch and we are witnessing history in the making. We are observing people wanting to live with freedom and not be controlled by dictators who steal their earnings or rob them of their god given rights as human beings to think, pray, and live their lives according to their inner promptings. They are tired of being suppressed and shut down while the rest of the world is moving forward with technology and spirituality. I feel there is a domino effect that is about to take place all over the world. People want honor, respect, and dignity and now have the courage to fight for it.

We are living in the most amazing times and we just need keep our prayers going for peace. Our prayers will help these brave warriors stand up and fight for their god given rights that every human being deserves to have

Yesterday I was working at the front desk of an animal hospital.  This woman comes in (call her Susan) very distressed and asks if she can use our phone since her car pulled into the lot and broke down.  It would not start at all and she felt lucky to have found a place to park before it died on her.  I thought “oh how interesting”.  She asked if she could make 2 phone calls since her phone was not charged and she could not get cell service.  Again I thought “oh how interesting”.  She called AAA to get someone to tow her car to a local service shop to find out what was wrong with it.  Next she called her friend (call her Beth) to let her know that she was not going to visit her.  While on the phone with her, Susan was talking about cancer and her treatment.  Beth on the other end was talking on and on about her new windows.  Susan was clearly trying to get off the phone as Beth was trying to engage a longer conversation with her.  When Susan got off the phone she looks over at me and says ” I did not want to go there in the first place.  She was talking to me about her new windows and I was trying to get off the phone.  She is the woman who I went to Italy with and swore that I would never ever do anything with her again.”  It was clear to me that Susan really did not like Beth and she was going to visit her out of sheer obligation and guilt.  Apparently they both had a friend visiting from out of town.  She really did not want to visit and it was also clear that Beth was not interested in Susan at all.  She was only interested in herself.  

I have read in many places that our car represents our life.  When we dream about our car it usually relates to our life.  I felt that Susan did not have the courage to tell Beth she did not want to visit her or be her friend ever again.  Her car did the job for her.  Her car literally broke down in the parking lot. The universe literally helped her do what she really wanted to do … not visit Beth.

This story reveals how we do things out of obligation many times in our life and we are being called now to act on our personal truth.  This means to follow our heart and if we don’t the universe will work behind the scenes to help us operate with more integrity.  As we move into 2010, let’s keep telling the truth even when it is difficult to do.
