In Raja Yoga which is known as “The Royal Highway” or Yoga of the Mind. Raja Yoga teaches that in order to go into meditation we need to understand our mind and what it is communicatinng to us on a daily basis. When we realize that our mind is in constant activity with no discipline then we can start a journey into consciously changing our thoughts. As we change our thoughts we automatically change our reality.
We can begin this journey by turning every negative thought into a positive one. We have thoughts constantly bombarding us. Much of it is old conditioning. Moreover, we are overwhelmed with negativity in news on TV and the media. The best thing we can do for raising our consciousness towards a more peaceful one is to disassociate with all media unless it is inspirational which includes movies. Since the earth is rising in vibrations, we are more sensitive than ever to this negativity. We have the ability to pick and chose our thoughts. Thoughts are energy and when we focus on them, that is the energy we are bringing to ourselves and our reality. As the Buddhists, Yogis, and ancient wise ones say over and over…change your thinking and you change your life. Our thoughts directly affect the outcome in our lives.
