In August 2009, 3 things happened in my life that I thought “this could not be a coincidence.” They were so crazy that I thought this must be a sign from above. Within 3 days of each other, my website and bank account disappeared (could not find it anywhere), and my ipod (spent hours programing music for my classes) was stolen. I was able to correct my website and bank account, but not able to retrieve my ipod. I had been teaching out of my home for the past 18 years and was looking at expanding. That month I had a funny feeling about expanding my current business out of my home. A week later I went to see a lawyer to discuss this expansion and the legalities of running a home business. Within 30 minutes he looked into my teary eyes as he relayed that I needed to discontinue my home business. He explained all the legalities to me and my head understood but my heart felt like it was breaking. We bought this house with the idea of my being able to have a home business. I followed his advice and ended all business out of my home. It seemed to be a clear message from the Universe that change was in order and the Universe had a different plan for me.

It is has taken me up until now to see a bigger picture. I feel guided to continue Moving Spirit Retreats but I am now looking for a new location. As soon as I find the perfect location I will reveal it.

This situation was a reminder that sometimes we can’t see the silver lining in a challenging situation. If we can look for the lesson and grow from it rather than become bitter, than we have increased the love in our hearts a little more. There is a higher plan in all of our lives. Nobody is left out…
